Use this page to connect Shopify in the easiest order: create the store in Harper, copy the Store ID and API key, install the Harper app in Shopify, paste both values, and save.

1. Create your store in Harper

Go to Stores and create the Shopify store you want to connect. Finish the store creation flow first.

2. Copy the Store ID and API key

After the store is created, open that store in Harper and copy the Store ID and the active API key from the API Keys area.

3. Install Harper Connect in Shopify

Open your Shopify admin, install the Harper app from the Shopify App Store, then open the app inside Shopify.

4. Paste values and save

Paste the same Store ID and API key into the Shopify app settings, save, and then confirm tracking starts working.

Exact setup flow

Keep the connection flow inside Harper and Shopify. You do not need to leave this page to understand the steps.

Step 1: Create the store in Harper

  1. Open Dashboard > Stores.
  2. Click Add Store.
  3. Create the Shopify store you want to connect.
  4. Finish the store setup flow before moving to Shopify.

Step 2: Copy your Store ID and API key

  1. Open the store you just created.
  2. Go to the store settings / API Keys area.
  3. Copy the Store ID.
  4. Copy the active API key. If there is no active key yet, create or rotate one first.

Step 3: Install Harper Connect in Shopify

  1. Open your Shopify admin.
  2. Go to Apps and open the Shopify App Store.
  3. Find and install the Harper app.
  4. Open the Harper app from your Shopify apps list.

Step 4: Paste values and save

  1. Paste the Store ID from Harper into the Shopify app.
  2. Paste the API key from Harper into the Shopify app.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Keep the Store ID and API key from the same Harper store. Do not mix values from different stores.

Where to find what you need

These are the only values most Shopify merchants need to complete setup.

Store ID

Open the store in Harper. In Store Settings, copy the Store ID shown in the API key section.

API key

Use the active key if one exists. If not, rotate or create a new key, then copy it immediately because plaintext keys are shown once.

Shopify app location

Shopify Admin > Apps > Harper. Paste both values there and click Save.

Final check

Confirm these before relying on live tracking.

Your Shopify store exists in Harper and shows the correct domain.

You copied the Store ID and API key from the same store record.

The Harper app in Shopify saved successfully.

A test visit or test order shows up in Harper.

If setup is blocked, use Feedback / Contact Us from the dashboard.

This is the cleanest Shopify setup order for most merchants.

Create the store in Harper first.

Then open that store and copy the Store ID and API key.

After that, install the Harper app in Shopify, open it, paste those two values, and click Save.

Finally, place a test visit or test order and confirm Harper starts receiving data.
